SELFIELAB launched with no existing category awareness.
As a brand-new concept, it required market education alongside brand building. The studio needed early traction, strong positioning, and reasons for customers to return — all without existing brand recognition or demand.
Our Strategy
We built a launch strategy focused on storytelling, education, and community.
This included a comprehensive launch campaign explaining the mirror self-portrait concept and its emotional value, supported by strategic influencer partnerships to build credibility and reach. Instagram became the core storytelling platform, showcasing the experience rather than just the output. Seasonal backdrop promotions were introduced to encourage repeat visits, alongside local brand collaborations to position SELFIELAB as a creative hub within the Vancouver community.
